Wouter Bakker
After having studied drums at Utrecht Conservatory (HKU, Jazz & Pop), I worked as a full-time gigging musician for several years, while playing with coverbands and a variety of bands producing original music. During that time, I was fortunate enough to tour The Netherlands, as well the United Kingdom, perform an aftershow in Afas Live, and participate in the Popronde multiple times, among many other such valuable opportunities.
Currently, I’m combining my ambitions in music with working for the court in Utrecht as a civil law jurist, while using my legal knowledge in an effort to support the development of the (Vereniging) Onderbuik in Fort Lunet I as a cultural breeding ground (culturele broedplaats). Right now, my main musical projects are Ziggy Splynt (drums), an alternative rock trio, and Roodnoot (guitar, drums, multi-instrumentalist), a pop-folk group spearheaded by singer-songwriter Bob Barlag, both of which are based out of Fort Lunet I.
